Skip hire in Tuncurry
Tuncurry has a mix of family homes, units and holiday rentals close to the lake and Nine Mile Beach. Common jobs are unit and garage clear-outs, bathroom renovations and holiday-house turnovers. Skip bags and 2–3 m³ mini skips suit tight spaces. A 4–6 m³ skip suits most renovations.
Tuncurry Waste Management Centre
MidCoast Council's Tuncurry Waste Management Centre is on Midge Orchid Road (formerly Tip Road), open daily 8am to 4pm. It has a Community Recycling Centre for household problem waste and a Reviva tip shop. Since 17 March 2025 it no longer accepts heavy vehicles, which go to the Taree Waste Management Centre at Tinonee instead. Cars and trailers can still use Tuncurry.
That change is one reason operators may price larger loads differently: a truck load has to travel to Tinonee.
Units and strata
If you live in a unit block, check with strata before booking. A skip bag that sits in your own car space may be simpler than a bin on common property.
Council rules
A skip wholly on your property generally doesn't need approval. On the road or nature strip, check with MidCoast Council. See the permit guide.
